Aleph, the Cyprus-based metal artist behind Watch Me Die Inside, has always done things his own way, and Infinity Fall I proves he’s not slowing down. This EP is a strange, thrilling mix of sounds, deathcore heaviness hits you first but it’s quickly softened by melodic hooks, electronic pulses, and an eerie black-metal atmosphere. Aleph calls it Deathened Melodic Electro Pop Black Metal, and while the name sounds complicated, the music itself is addictive. It’s chaotic but purposeful, experimental but grounded. You can tell he’s been at this for decades; there’s a craft to the way every riff, synth, and vocal line is layered.
The standout track for me is “Weak Tension.” It grabs you with aggressive riffs and guttural vocals, then pulls you into haunting, atmospheric passages that are almost cinematic. It’s a track that makes you feel uneasy but captivated at the same time, which seems to be exactly what Aleph wants. The opening track, “Infinity Fall I,” sets the tone with high energy and unrelenting intensity, while “Something Is Wrong” closes the EP with a slow-building, eerie edge that lingers long after the last note fades. The production is crisp, but it still keeps the raw emotional punch that makes the EP feel alive.
What makes Infinity Fall I stand out isn’t just the genre-blending but it’s Aleph himself. He’s clearly not chasing trends or trying to fit in. Each track feels personal, and fully thought-out. In just three songs, he’s crafted a world that’s dark, bold, and strangely beautiful. If you’re looking for something heavy but fresh, something that challenges your expectations of metal, this EP is worth diving into. Aleph is carving his own lane, and it’s exciting to see where he goes next.
